Registration Information

General Information

As begun in 2016 - all State Games of Michigan age divisions will be divided geographically based on where an athlete 'plays', instead of where they live as in previous years. Players must tryout for the team in which their 2017 Winter team has been assigned. Please check each age specific page for further details.

*NOTE* The 'boys' events are  technically co-ed events, but played under USAH/MAHA Boy's rules - meaning FULL CONTACT in some divisions. If you are registering a female player that does not wish to play full contact, please register for one of the Girls events.

Registration Timeline & Fees:

All players - $45.00 (includes tryout jersey) - If registered on or before April 8. Fee becomes $55.00 at 12:01am on April 9. - Registration for all teams will stay open thru the last tryout skate for each respective team.

Players meeting eligibility requirements for both 16U and 18U Open may register for both tryouts but will be required to pay a separate registration fee for each.

Tryout Refund Policy

Refunds for tryout fees will be granted ONLY outside 7 days prior to the tryout date, with proper communication with the tournament directors. There are several factors that make up the necessity for such a policy: 1) A tryout jersey is included as a part of the tryout fee which has to be ordered well in advance based on the number of registered participants. 2) We are still required to pay for the ice rental and we plan those expenses based on the number of registrants. Therefore - once the actual tryout date arrives, regardless of whether your player skates or not (but especially if they skated), there will be no refunds.

Tournament Payment Policy

By registering yourself/your child for the tryout process, you are also agreeing to the following payment policy if you/your child is chosen to play in the tournament:

All rosters will be posted to team websites as soon as possible following tryouts.  Individual player payment invoices will be issued and due 15 days from date of invoice. Payments not received timely will place players in jeopardy of losing spot to an alternate unless prior arrangements have been made.

After July 1st, 2018 - there will be NO refunds unless medical documentation is provided showing player is unable to participate.

Documentation Needed:

Beginning with the 2017 tournaments, all documents are embedded for electronic signature, and can/will be completed during the registration process. There will be no need to collection of additional documentation at this time (to the best of our knowledge).

All players MUST be USA Hockey registered. The only thing you will need at the time of registration is the player's 2017-18 USA Hockey Registration Confirmation Number. After April 1st, 2018, either 2017-18 or 2018-19 registration can be used. This was emailed when the player was registered for the season. If you do not still have this, your team manager should have a copy, or you can get one by going this website:

https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/duplicate_request_input.action

If you are playing on a High School team, you are still eligible to play in our events, but you MUST be USA Hockey registered before you can register to tryout for this event. If you need to register for USA Hockey - please go to

 www.usahockeyregistration.com/login_input.action
